Do not go after the dry fountain...

Unfortunately, many people have insisted on mistakes, even though they have already been shown the Way of Life Change.

Do not go after the dry fountain...

And Elias the Tishbite of the inhabitants of Gilead said unto Acabe, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, in these years there shall be neither dew nor rain, except according to my word. 1 Kings 17.1

Elijah caught the attention of King Acabe as to what would happen if he went on the wrong path that was, leading all Israel to ruin. For in those three and a half years without rain, all suffered misery, lack and lived days of much pain, but his pride, arrogance and arrogance would not let him turn to God and see the real cause of such misfortune . Before, the king preferred to look for alternatives to solve the problem.

And Acabe said unto Obadiah, Go into the land unto all springs of water, and unto all rivers; it may be that we find grass, so that in life we keep the horses and mules and we are not deprived of the animals. And they divided the land among themselves to pass through it; And Ahab went aside by the way, and Obadiah went the other way. 1 Kings 18.5,6

How many have looked for alternative sources and rivers that are dry? They try to be happy without relating to God. They change from city to country, in search of prosperity, if they kill themselves with so much work, they even abandon their families because they do not have time, and despite everything they do, they have nothing.

Others, because they are unhappy in marriage, think that getting a new spouse will be happy, and are already in the second, third relationship ... but the failure is the same.

They are patients who have already been to all specialists, including seeking treatment abroad, and are increasingly consumed by a disease without cure.

Festivals, drugs, alcohol, travel, "enjoying life" ... this has been the incessant search for a little water that quenches the thirst of the soul, and the worst thing is that each day these people are more empty, more depressed and many even want death.

All this happens because they do not want to see and recognize the real problem, because the same spirit of pride that was in Ahab is in many people nowadays. They prefer to cheat themselves by trying to find dry sources to surrender to what has LIVE WATER to give.

Elias showed the reason for so much suffering, revealed what lay behind that chaotic situation.

And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came unto him; Elijah restored the altar of the Lord, which was in ruins. "1 Kings 18:30

As long as your altar is in ruins, your life will be in ruins. As long as your altar is down, you will be down. This is inevitable, and there is no escape!

Altar represents communion with the Most High, place of sacrifice, of surrender, of being dependent on the Almighty. It is only when one understands and obeys that everything changes.

Do not let pride and arrogance make you suffer anymore! Restore your altar, repent and you will see the FIRE OF GOD, which is the Holy Spirit, descend upon your life and restore all that was destroyed.

O LORD, the hope of Israel! All those who leave you will be ashamed; the names of those who depart from me will be written on the ground; because they forsake the LORD, the fountain of living waters. Jeremiah 17:13

Jesus saith unto him, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again; but he that drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. John 4.13-14

May God bless you and make you understand these things!
